What Happened
We got banned from the credit card merchant network. Not just our payment processor - the entire network. We're now on something called the MATCH list (Member Alert to Control High-risk Merchants), which means no payment processor in the Visa/Mastercard ecosystem will work with us for the next 5 years.
The reason? NSFW content getting posted on the platform. Despite our moderation systems and best efforts to comply, it wasn't enough for the payment networks. One day we were processing payments, the next day we were blacklisted.
I can't even start a new business in my name for 5 years. That's the reality of building on top of traditional payment rails.
