In a desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland, a grotesquely mutated clone emerges from the ruins of a former laboratory, crippled by a variety of horrific experiments. Its face is a twisted parody of humanity, with cross-eyed sockets and lazy, wonky eyes that seem to have melted into its skull. Extra fingers contort at the joints, like rubbery, pulsing vines, while its hands are a mass of bulging, deformed flesh that defy logic and reason. On full display is the terrible price of genetic tampering, the unforgiving evidence of the elation of the military scientists who desperately pushed the boundaries of biological control. The environment around the clone recedes in the heat haze, battered buildings and discarded machinery ignored in favour of the unblinking atrophy on full display. In defiance of everything nature ever stood for, there is a calamity to equality, an screaming leap away from decent human roots.
