I sense the roof peeling away
As chaos reigns below
Observing stars flicker and fade
Feigning an interest I do not possess
For genuine concern rarely exists
And even if I wished, it never will
Do you see how control has slipped away?
Our clothes often tattered
Our jaws clenched in frustration
These moments stretch to their limits
Yet, I find myself unable to embrace this
Unable to reconcile with reality
Despite all efforts, acceptance eludes me
A refusal I cannot shake.
