In the center stands "Sculpture One"—a plaster imitation of a classic wooden living room bookcase, slightly damaged, revealing its underlying metal framework with visible textures. This sculpture's empty shelves act as screens for the grainy, black-and-white projection of a half-naked Portuguese girl in an urban hat, played by a whirring 16mm film projector. To the right is "Sculpture Two," a minimalistic folding screen reminiscent of a Japanese Nanban screen, six-panelled and devoid of reliefs or decoration. Its surface comes alive with the colorful video of a biblical character, clad in red and sporting sunglasses, set against a vivid blue sky. On the left stands "Sculpture Three," a puppet theater crafted from wood and traditional Alentejo textiles. Within, the "Bonecos de Santo Aleixo" puppets rest in serene slumber, their scale smaller than the other sculptures. The sculptures, though dwarfed by the immense space, capture the eye with their intimate details and the glow of their projects against the vastness.
